Metro Bank creating 50 jobs in Bristol with opening of new customer contact centre

The new site is set to open in March next year

Metro Bank is opening a customer contact centre in Bristol, creating 50 jobs.

The so-called challenger bank is opening the site above its store in Broadmead in the city centre.

The Bristol site will be Metro Bank’s first contact centre to open in the South West.

The centre will be used to support Metro Bank’s customers with questions relating to its products and services, and will also offer 24/7 support for urgent queries, the bank said.

Aisling Kane, chief operating officer at Metro Bank, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening a brand new contact centre in the heart of Bristol and expanding our telephony service regionally.”

The new Bristol space is set to open in March next year, with the bank already recruiting 30 staff members - and with 20 more roles available.

Metro Bank said it was still looking for customer service specialists who will speak with and support customers on the phone.

The bank, which launched in 2010 and now has more than 77 º£½ÇÊÓƵ stores, said it recruited on the ethos of "hiring for attitude and training for skill".
