A wealth management firm has announced expansion plans in both the North West and West Midlands.

LGT Wealth Management is planning to launch a new base in Manchester city centre and relocate its team in Birmingham.

The global business is opening its first ever Manchester office in Arkwright House, near Deangate, in March where it will welcome Mike Stirrup, formerly of Artorius Wealth and UBS, as a wealth planner.

He will be joined by Matthew Stevenson as a trainee investment manager, having previously been with Evelyn Partners.

The practice said it would add to the Manchester team over the coming months and look for a more long-term base in the city.

In Birmingham, the company plans to move its team from 2 Snow Hill to a new home at 103 Colmore Row, also next month.

This relocation will accommodate the growth of its staff in the city following the acquisition of fund manager abrdn Capital last year which added teams in Birmingham and Leeds to its payroll.
