He he been appointed a partner with the Cardiff-based corporate advisory firm which is in expansion mode

Former senior partner of Deloitte in Wales, Wayne Harvey, has been appointed a partner of corporate advisory Gambit Corporate Finance.

Mr Harvey, who was instrumental in transforming the professional advisory’s firm Cardiff operation into one of Deloitte’s leading global centres with a 1,000-plus workforce before standing down last year, will support the Cardiff-based firm’s expansion plans.

The appointment comes as Gambit has cemented its place as a leading corporate finance advisory firm, having been ranked most active financial merger and acquisition adviser in the first quarter of this year by Experian.

Mr Harvey, who is also chairman of Cardiff Airport, said: “I am delighted to be joining Gambit at this inflexion point in its growth plans. The firm has acted as lead advisor on multiple landmark transactions since its inception, working with high-profile clients such as Peters Foods, IQE Plc, Biotrace International Plc, Veezu, Premier Forest, Orangebox, WRU and Bluestone to name just a few.

“I look forward to supporting the team and adding value to its extensive investment and development plans, leveraging the reputation and foundation the firm has developed over the past 29 years.”

Gambit partner Frank Holmes said: “It is a privilege and pleasure to welcome Wayne to the partnership.

"He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Gambit which will enable the firm to capitalise on its current success and continue this run into next year and beyond.
