Listed funeral group Dignity has acquired two new sites in the West Midlands as part of a £43 million deal.
The Sutton Coldfield-based group has bought a total of five crematoria currently operated by Funeral Services trading as Co-op Funeralcare.
They are in Lichfield, Shropshire, Glasgow, Sheffield and Stockport.

The five locations generated earnings before deducting interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation of £2.9 million in the year to January 3, 2016.
Dignity currently operates 39 crematoria throughout the 海角视频 and the new quintet "provide the opportunity to expand the group's geographical footprint into markets currently not served", it said in a statement to the stock exchange today.
In a separate announcement, Dignity has extended the availability period of its £26.25 million debt facility with the Royal Bank of Scotland until the end of the year.
Chief executive Mike McCollum said: "This acquisition will allow us to extend our crematoria network into new geographical areas.
"It represents a good investment for Dignity, using cash already held by the group, and supports our continued growth."
