1) If you could go back in time and have one conversation with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you discuss?
Time travel would be ace - there are so many things I'd like to go back and find out. I could go back to the 16th century and ask the model of the Mona Lisa why she is smiling or 1816 to ask Thomas Beale where he buried his treasure in Virginia, USA.
What I would actually do though is take my lead from Marty McFly in Back to the Future and go back to last week and tell myself the winning lottery numbers for Saturday night.

2) Which single element of any city in the world that you have visited would you like to see transplanted into Birmingham?
Rome is my favourite city in the world, I love going there and visiting the sites. If we could bring the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colosseum to Birmingham I could admire them every day.
If we could also bring some Italian sun and pistachio gelato, I think we'd be a happier city.
3) Which technological innovation would you happily see consigned to history and what would you like to see invented which doesn't yet exist?
Average speed checks on the motorway are the worst invention ever. I am all for speed cameras in 30mph zones for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists but as there are no pedestrians or cyclists on the motorway I see no place there for a speed camera.
I am waiting for the day when computer screens are virtual so all you need is a handbag-sized keyboard and you can work from anywhere without lugging around lots of heavy equipment.
4) Think about who your ideal dinner guests might be but instead you can only invite their relatives. Who would you choose and what would you ask them?

I love to have dinner with my boyfriend, my best friends and my family. I already know all of their relatives and have dinner with them fairly often too so no worries there for me.
5) There are many 'National Days', some more obscure than others, but which one would you like to create that doesn't already exist?
I'd like to have a National 'Let's Eat Cake and drink Tea' day. I think tea and cake are two British treasured traditions and should be celebrated.
We can also proudly celebrate we are a multi-cultured nation at the same time by having cakes and teas from around the world. I see this day bringing together friends, families and communities.
