Health insurance group BHSF has purchased M3 Occupational Health in its second acquisition of the year so far.

The deal is part of a drive by BHSF, which can trace its roots back to the formation of the Birmingham Hospital Saturday Fund in 1873, to grow its occupational health division to provide nationwide coverage.

In addition to occupational health, the group consists of a health insurer and an insurance brokerage which offers a range of personal insurances, employee benefits and HR support services to 3,100 client organisations.

In total 400,000 people are covered under BHSF’s health and personal accident insurances.

M3 is based in Pershore, Worcestershire, providing occupational health services across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

M3’s managing director and founder, Dean Mortimer, is joining BHSF to support its business development plans.

BHSF Group chief executive, Peter Maskell, said: “M3 is highly-regarded and we are very pleased it is joining our growing occupational health business.
