After a tough few years the company said it had seen a "record start to 2018"

AR Demolition is relaunching and expanding the earthworks and soil remediation team at its Leicestershire base.

The multi-million pound turnover demolition specialist has taken on a new new team of specialists to ensure sites it works on are made safe.

Matt Barrow is being promoted to operations director of the team. Before joining AR he spent a decade in civil engineering and soil stabilisation roles.

Joining Matt is compliance manager Felicity Barnard, a remediation professional with an MSc in environmental science as well as a certificate of technical competence.

The business, which is based in Carlton, near Market Bosworth, was founded by managing director Richard Dolman in 2007.

Following a period of restructuring and stabilisation in 2017 - when turnover dropped from almost £16 million to less than £13 million - the company said it had seen a "record start to 2018", and would shortly to announce this year’s turnover figures and profits.

It has recently made significant investments in new plant and machinery, including £1.5 million spent on three new high-reach Kiesel machines in 2018 after previous investment of £1 million in 2016.

Matt Barrow said: “Earthworks and remediation have always been part of AR Demolition’s armoury.
