The director of a Hull recruitment agency who started his career as a teenage apprentice has celebrated 20 years at the firm.

Adam Barnes, 38, began his career at Prestige Recruitment working as an apprentice, supporting a small industrial team.

Mr Barnes quickly rose through the ranks at the business, based in Bowlalley Lane, and moved into a transport management role.

In 2014, he became regional manager at the agency, and three years later was promoted again to his current role as director.

Mr Barnes has now celebrated two decades of work at Prestige Recruitment, having joined the firm just five years after its foundation.

He said: “I am extremely proud of my career within Prestige and even prouder to be part of its success.

“I started out as just a teenager with little experience and I have relished every challenge along the way. I have dedicated my career to the business and my team, loyalty is a real buzz-word for us all and I am passionate about the services and expertise that we provide.

“I am a big part of where Prestige is today and Prestige has become a large part of me.”
