Three new recruits have joined Manchester-based Beyond Corporate Law, part of the Beyond Professional Services Group this month.
Andy Herricks, who joins as director, was a founding partner of Garricks, a niche commercial firm based in Blackburn. He brings with him more than 20 years’ high-level experience in advising SME and owner-managed clients across the north west on a wide range of corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters.
Alexander Redford joins Beyond Corporate Law as assistant solicitor. He has held roles with various law firms including Slater and Gordon Lawyers, and latterly Hargreaves Mounteney, where he was a trainee in the commercial department, working on shareholder agreements, contracts, terms and conditions and other matters within the scope of business-to-business dealings.
The final member of the trio is Matthew Fearn, who joins the firm in the role of paralegal. He comes to Beyond Corporate Law from JMW Solicitors, where he was a paralegal in the Business Crime and Regulation team.
Hugh Jones Solicitors
Boutique law firm, Hugh Jones Solicitors, has announced two promotions at its Manchester-based office.
Private client specialist, Charlotte Pisuto, has been promoted from associate to senior associate, having joined the firm in 2016. Elsewhere in the business, David Jones has been promoted from solicitor to associate in the Court of Protection team – also in his third year with Hugh Jones.

Accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO, has welcomed a senior hire to its Manchester team.

An experienced director, Liam O’Doherty joins BDO following 25 years at PwC where he held a series of senior positions, most recently as tax director, leading Property and Construction in the North.
He brings vast experience to his new role, having advised a wide range of businesses in a range of sectors, from institutions, private equity funds and private investors, through to local authorities, housing associations and national housebuilders.

ParkVia
Manchester-based online parking reservation firm ParkVia has appointed three specialist recruits to its head office marketing team.
Ben Fox, who has previously held senior roles at AO.com, JD Sports and Chinese manufacturing giant, Hisense, has been appointed as ParkVia's first head of marketing.
Anita Idisi and Chris Morris will also join the team as SEO manager and paid media manager, respectively.
ParkVia commercial director Valentina Moise, said: “Ben’s proven commercial success in e-commerce makes him the perfect fit to head up our growing marketing department and together with Anita, Chris and the wider team we’re confident the collective experience we have will contribute significantly to the continued growth of ParkVia.”

Manchester-based property firm OBI has appointed Graham Thorpe to its building consultancy team.
In the role, Mr Thorpe will be servicing OBI’s clients on some of Manchester’s biggest developments, including ABC Buildings and Bonded Warehouse for Allied London and the commercial hub of St. John’s Enterprise City for Booking.com.

Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership
Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership has appointed two new members to its board.
Amanda Halford, senior vice president for sales, service and commercial operations at GE Healthcare Life Sciences and Bruntwood CEO Chris Oglesby will replace retiring members Bruntwood founder Michael Oglesby and law firm partner Monica Brij.
Mike Blackburn, chair of the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership, said: "Overseeing the implementation of the Greater Manchester Local Industrial Strategy will be an important role for the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership and our new members will help us on this journey, enabling us to deliver the jobs and growth the people of Greater Manchester need.”
