Anthony Collins Solicitors has appointed Kirsty MacMillan as health and welfare Court of Protection solicitor.
Ms MacMillan joins the Birmingham-based firm from Quality Solicitors CMHT in Walsall.
She succeeds Kate Jackson and will continue to develop health and welfare work, building on the achievements secured under Ms Jackson鈥檚 leadership.
Anthony Collins Solicitors said Ms MacMillan鈥檚 extensive experience in working with adults and children with mental health or mental capacity difficulties will strengthen the Court of Protection team鈥檚 holistic services and support to anyone who might lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves.
Ms MacMillan is also a member of the Law Society panel of accredited mental health tribunal solicitors and represents clients who are detained (sectioned) or otherwise subject to compulsory powers under the mental health legislation.
Sheree Green, Court of Protection lead at Anthony Collins Solicitors, said: 鈥淲e are delighted that Kirsty has joined us and we look forward to seeing our Court of Protection health and welfare service go from strength to strength in Kirsty鈥檚 capable hands.鈥
Ms MacMillan added: 鈥淚 am very proud to be joining Anthony Collins Solicitors to work in such a respected team.
鈥淭his is an exciting opportunity and I am committed to meeting the individual needs of our clients, and furthering the reputation of the team.鈥
