Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP moved into a new office in the centre of Nottingham.
The 90-or-so-strong East Midlands team has moved into 3,500 sq ft of space at Water Court in Canal Street alongside the likes of law firm Eversheds Sutherland.
The BDO team covers disciplines such as audit, advisory and tax and the new location supports its growth strategy in the region.
The Victorian warehouse, close to the city鈥檚 Broad Marsh regeneration development has been fitted out to provide the firm with a modern, collaborative working space.
Andrew Mair, head of BDO in the East Midlands, said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e absolutely delighted to move into our new East Midlands hub 鈥 a vibrant location that places us at the heart of Nottingham, providing us with a strong local presence and access to some of the region鈥檚 most entrepreneurial and fast-growing businesses.
鈥淲e remain committed to the East Midlands market and recognise the potential that exists across key sectors and specialisms, whether they鈥檙e owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies with an ambition to scale up or listed businesses. This move cements our desire to grow those relationships and support businesses on that strategic journey.鈥
Nationally, BDO has committed 拢10 million of investment in technology over the next few years and more than 拢8 million to repurpose its office spaces.
Kyla Bellingall, partner and head of the Midlands at BDO, said: 鈥淎s the firm continues to invest in agile working, we wanted to create a flexible and inclusive space that offers our team the very best in hybrid working.
鈥淭he new East Midlands hub allows employees to combine both home and office working, perfectly blending individual learning, collaboration, increased levels of productivity and digital connectivity in the most appropriate and effective way.
鈥淭he results of months of hard work are fantastic and create a truly unique environment for our East Midlands team.鈥
