An accountancy firm with offices across the South West of England has opened a new base in Exeter.

Bishop Fleming said the new premises at Winslade Park marked the start of an "exciting, ambitious growth drive" for the business.

The move is part of Bishop Fleming's 'Better Growth' strategy, which is aimed at achieving a £200m+ revenue and employing more than 2,000 people through sustainable organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

The business currently has a revenue of more than £48m and has experienced growth of more than 15% over the last 12 months.

The new Exeter hub is the second-largest office in the firm’s network, which also includes bases in Plymouth, Bristol, Truro, Torquay, Cheltenham and Bath as well as sites in the Midlands.

The office opening follows a recent minority private equity investment from Ƶ investor Synova. According to Bishop Fleming, the partnership will accelerate the firm’s national expansion through M&A, while preserving its partner-led ownership structure.

Fleur Lewis, partner and Exeter office lead, said: "We’re building something exceptional in Exeter – a dynamic workspace that promotes collaboration, reinforces our values-driven culture and where our teams are proud and excited to work together.

"Winslade Park provides the environment and setting for us to continue to attract the best talent, support our clients and local communities and continue to be a leading accountancy firm in the mid-market.”

The Exeter office now employs more than 100 people. In 2025, it will also welcome 12 of the firm’s 70 new apprentices through Bishop Fleming’s Ofsted 'Outstanding'-rated Apprenticeship Programme - one of just 18 Employer Providers in the Ƶ with the status.

Last year, Bishop Fleming's audit division grew 20% year-on-year and is now actively recruiting, the company added.

In January, the chartered accountancy firm confirmed plans to open a new office in Birmingham.
