Accountancy group DJH has more than trebled its North West revenues and relocated its Manchester corporate finance team.

The firm says that in less than four years, it has grown revenues in the region from £5m to more than £17m,thanks to a series of acquisitions, including Haines Watts in Altrincham, Lyon Griffiths in Nantwich and DTE in Bury, as well as organic growth.

It has now moved its specialist corporate finance team from St Ann’s Square into its expanded city centre offices in Peter Street. It now employs more than 200 people across the North West — and says it wants to keep hiring.

DJH chief executive Scott Heath said: “Manchester is one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s fastest-growing economic hubs outside of London, with significant investment in technology, media and manufacturing.

“The diversity of the companies - from starts-ups and owner managed businesses to big corporates - fit our portfolio perfectly and we believe we are now in a great position to support their day-to-day business advisory requirements and any M&A activity they may be considering.

“Our own acquisition strategy has accelerated our move into the North West, with our city centre office complemented by a presence in Altrincham, Bury, Chesterand Nantwich.

“Revenues have passed £17m in the region for the first time, but this is just the start. We are keen to build stronger links in the city and strengthen existing relationships with the outstanding colleges and universities we have here.”

Nationally DJH, which has 11 offices across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, has grown its turnover to £40m. It specialises in working with owner-managed firms and works in sectors including construction, dental, education, franchise, property and transport and logistics, as well as in engineering and manufacturing.
