The largest cohort of trainees ever welcomed by a Cambridgeshire law firm have joined the company to take the next step in their careers.

The ten trainees at Alconbury-based Roythornes Solicitors will specialise in an array of areas including agriculture, food and drink, private client, property and litigation.

Roythornes is also celebrating its excellent Legal 500 rankings this year, with two teams – agriculture and corporate and commercial – securing tier one rankings and many other departments featuring in the rankings.

Trainee Rebecca Earth, who is also studying a postgraduate course for solicitors, said: “I started working at Roythornes three years ago in a business support role in order to get to know the company and the legal world.

“The firm has a great reputation within the region and I was excited to have the opportunity to gain experience within the legal sector at such a significant firm.

“I’m delighted to have made the change from a support role to trainee solicitor and am looking forward to furthering my career as a qualified solicitor.

“My first seat is with the commercial property team, which I’m really enjoying as the work is varied, and I have the opportunity to work alongside well respected and knowledgeable partners.

“Roythornes is great at listening to you and allocating seats based, where possible, on your interests.”
