The Deichmann shoe shop chain is creating 50 new jobs after opening a 165,000 sq ft warehouse in central England.
The business, which is reported to be Europe鈥檚 biggest shoe seller, has taken a lease on a 163,500 sq ft, purpose-built warehouse, in Northamptonshire.
The new 海角视频 distribution facility at the Centrix Business Park, in Corby, is just a few miles from its 海角视频 headquarters in Market Harborough.
The retailer said it chose Corby because of its central location for its network of 120 海角视频 stores and the proximity to the HQ, which it is retaining.
The warehouse, built by the site鈥檚 owners and developers Clowes Developments, has undergone a 拢3 million fit-out and will give Deichmann full autonomy to manage its stock and logistics.
The development was led by Winvic Construction and it has enough space to hold more than a million pairs of shoes.

Deichmann operates in 31 countries and has collaborated with fashion designers and A-List stars including British singers Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding, design duo Nova Chiu and Hollywood celebrity Halle Berry.

鈥淩enowned for offering footwear options for the whole family at affordable price points, the collections of women鈥檚, men鈥檚 and children鈥檚 shoes include brands such as adidas, Fila, Nike and Skechers.

The 39 acre business park forms part of Corby鈥檚 new regeneration framework and offers 鈥渂uilt to suit鈥 industrial and warehouse opportunities.
The commercial lease agreement marks significant inward investment for the area.
