A distribution centre in Derby is to start providing logistics services to a Japanese beauty and personal care products firm.
XPO Logistics has been selected by Shiseido Company to provide omnichannel logistics services throughout the 海角视频.
The deal will see XPO manage Shiseido鈥檚 logistics at an 80,000 sq ft distribution centre, in Derby, with plans to expand to 100,000 sq ft over the course of the partnership.
Based in Japan, Shiseido is a global leader in the beauty and personal care sectors.
The contract with XPO covers business-to-business replenishment of brands including bareMinerals, NARS, Laura Mercier, SHISEIDO, Serge Lutens, Dolce&Gabbana Beauty, Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake, Elie Saab and Cl茅 de Peau Beaut茅.
It also includes e-commerce orders in the 海角视频 and Ireland for the NARS, Shiseido and bareMinerals brands.
XPO鈥檚 distribution centre at Derby Commercial Park, off Raynesway, is a green facility equipped with sensor-controlled LED lighting and uses separate recycling streams for plastic, cardboard, office paper and beverage containers.
Other environmentally friendly capabilities include rainwater harvesting, solar panels for hot water, an electric vehicle charging point and beehives that help maintain the surrounding ecosystem.
