The construction teams behind a £150 million global hub for Jaguar Land Rover parts are launching a fresh recruitment drive.
IM Properties has spent £50 million so far on the 238 acre Mercia Park distribution site off Junction 11 of the M42 and the A444 between Ashby and Tamworth.
There are about 160 workers on the site each day and by the end of the year almost 300,000 hours of labour will have gone into its construction.
Work recently finished on a 522,000 sq ft warehouse and office complex there for global transport and logistics company DSV.
Construction giant Winvic is midway through building a 3 million sq ft global parts distribution centre which will become Jaguar Land Rover’s global hub for sending spare parts to customers in the 海角视频 and 80 countries around the world.
The first JLR building was completed this month with another four at various stages of construction and due to be completed in phases between April and September, next year.
The site could eventually support around 3,400 jobs.
A recruitment fair is being held from 10am to 1pm this Thursday, November 18, to promote the construction and training opportunities still available.

It will have representatives from main contractor Winvic, IM Properties, Collins Earthworks, Van Elle, G&A Fire Protection, Whiting Landscape, Stanford Flooring, Fortel and Construction Skills Hub.
The recruitment fair is being held in Mercia Park’s ‘Future of Construction’ Training Centre and Sustainability & Innovation Hub.
Team members from all the attending organisations will be available to talk through career opportunities on the site, and explain the sort of training available and qualifications required.
A new Future of Construction Training Centre and Sustainability and Innovation Hub has already been launched at Mercia Park by Winvic, its suppliers and third-party training providers.
A spokeswoman said: “The first seven learners welcomed on a four-week vocational traffic management course all went on to be offered employment with traffic management contractors, with one of the job roles offered – a trainee operative position accepted by Anthony Land – with one of Winvic’s subcontractors at Mercia Park.”

The main infrastructure at Mercia Park is close to completion and a network of more than five miles of roads, footways and cycleways have been created.
Some 30 acres of new woodland on the edge of the site should be complete by spring 2022.
