East Midlands Airport and neighbouring businesses are recruiting to fill 350 jobs this spring.
The airport, which is next to the M1 on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border, is looking for people to fill roles ranging from bar staff to check-in agents, security personnel and ground crew.
It has seen a big expansion in its freight services in recent years while businesses based on the wider site range from international delivery firms, to hotel chains, accountants, construction firms and banks.
The airport’s check-in hall will be hosting an annual jobs fair to promote positions that are available from 10am-2pm on Saturday, February 1.
A spokesman said: “Jobs at the airport include customer-facing roles within the passenger services team, security, car parking and Escape Lounge.
“Also recruiting are the airport’s retailers – World Duty Free – bars, restaurants and food outlets Autogrill, Greggs and Frankie and Benny’s.
“Airline Jet2 and check-in agents Swissport have vacancies too.
“Global air freight specialists UPS and DHL are also attending the jobs fair as part of their recruitment drive for more cargo handling roles.”

Tutors from the airport’s own academy will also be available. It was set up alongside Stephenson College, in Coalville, and Jobcentre Plus to help people get into work.
The spokesman said: “Job-seekers who feel they would benefit from more training and support before applying for jobs can discuss their needs with tutors who will be on hand during the jobs fair.”

“With so many varied roles on offer plus careers and skills advice, the jobs fair is a great event for finding out what it’s like to work or train here.”
Entry to the jobs fair is free and the jobs are not first come, first served. There is no need to book in advance.
The airport, part of Manchester Airports Group, handles 370,000 tonnes of cargo a year to and from regions such as Latin America, Asia, North America and the Middle East.
