Time is running out for the region’s leading young talent to gain the recognition they deserve.
The annual Top 30 Under 30 entry deadline is looming, with the next generation of Humber business leaders about to be highlighted.
Now in its fifth year, selected nominees go through a 12-month development programme, culminating in a celebration evening.
And the have reflected on their experience.

Mustafa Rahman, business development manager at Ideal Standard, said: “I was very proud to be nominated and win the Top 30 Under 30 Award.
“Winning the award has definitely opened more doors within my company. It has made me feel very valued and also, more motivated to do even better in life! The biggest take-away from the sessions is hearing everyone’s experience in life and what motivates them to succeed. I have enjoyed the whole experience, and meeting up with like-minded individuals allows me to grow even more.”
As well as the programme, the 30 selected by a judging panel are featured on Business Live in a partnership with publisher Reach Plc.

Hollie Clifford, talent acquisition officer at Humberside Police was another of the 2021 crop. She said “I couldn’t believe it when my manager told me that she had nominated me for the Top 30 Under 30 Programme, never mind being one of the winners! I was very sceptical at first as I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I knew it would be really out of my comfort zone, however it’s really surprising how much I have learnt. I can’t wait to put the tools I have learnt into practice throughout my career.”

Nominations are due to close on Friday, January 21, and although there have been a number of strong nominations already received - with interest before it opened - founder Simon Jones is still keen to hear from more people.
“Every year we get amazing feedback and even with the restrictions of the last couple of years, it has been brilliant to see that we have still been able to deliver real change for our winners,” he said.
“What is more pleasing is to see our winners progressing on after their time with us. The statistics coming out of the scheme are fantastic, with new directors, heads of departments and managers being produced, and those people directly linking their time with us, and what they learnt on our Leap programme, with their promotions.”

Looking at how 2022 is shaping up following November's launch, the managing director of procurement and supply chain recruitment specialist Identify, said: “Nominations are ahead of previous years, but I am very keen to make sure the best 30 young people in the region are recognised.
