Registration for the flagship event of Tech Week Humber 2020 is now open.
Tech Expo Humber returns for a second year, with Covid restrictions making it an entirely digital affair.
It takes place on Wednesday, November 11, with enterprise and education uniting to highlight the possibilities tech has for the future of the region.
Having already secured speakers from Google, Amazon, Airbus and IBM, this year’s event is being billed as one not to miss.
“We believe Tech Expo Humber is an integral part of Tech Week as it allows us to not only showcase what the region has to offer but also invite global tech giants to be part of it,” founder Antonio Tombanane, who has just been welcomed onto the Forbes Business Council, said.
Last year saw more than 2,000 people attend, with a reach of 1.5 million people achieved.
The switch to virtual was announced last month, with the theme ‘A Connected Humber’. It will highlight the region’s infrastructure, connect education and enterprise and showcase the region to the rest of the world.
An important part of the day will be allowing local tech companies to share their products and stories with a global audience.

“Although we love working with global tech giants we think it’s important that the event still showcases the region as a tech hub in its own right,” entrepreneur Jo Fleming said. “This year will have a diverse line-up that allows everyone from the region’s biggest tech leaders to start-ups to share their story.”
