According to a report by NatWest, robot repair shops, bug burger bars and smart-tech VR travel agents could be a thing of the norm in the next 15 years.
The NatWest Future Business Report looks at how we could live and work in the not-so-distant future.
The thoughts of the report鈥檚 authors, including leading futurist Dr Ian Pearson, are like something out of a sci-fi novel - with travel agents letting holidaymakers 鈥榯ry-before-you-fly鈥 through virtual reality experiences, and the daily commute taking place in high-speed personal travel pods to beat city congestion.
But what do today鈥檚 school children think? After all, they鈥檒l be the ones doing these jobs in the year 2036.
NatWest decided to ask Year 7 pupils from Gilwern Primary School in Monmouthshire, Hollygrit School in Nottingham, and Oldfield Primary School in Ealing for their thoughts - and the responses were wonderfully funny, intuitive and heart-warming.
The answer of the day however went to Yusuf Mohamed from Gilwern Primary School. When asked what jobs he hoped didn鈥檛 exist in the future he said: 鈥淏eing a soldier because I think that we should all just stop fighting and get along.鈥
