The Nottinghamshire Live Business Awards are on for 2021, as we prepare to recognise the hard-won triumphs of businesses and individuals across the county. The awards, in association with Champions (º£½ÇÊÓƵ) PLC, will be held on October 14 - for more information, visit the .

The last year has been a trying one for businesses across Nottinghamshire - with the coronavirus pandemic throwing companies and their employees into entirely unexpected situations. Many companies were forced to make drastic changes to the way they operated, and some simply had to stop altogether. Employees had to adapt to working at home, or to altered working environments - and many worked in close quarters with the public throughout the pandemic.

During such a difficult time, many businesses and businesspeople were concerned not just with what they could do to preserve their own success, but how they could help their community. Many businesses play vital roles in their local area, running programs to help vulnerable people, raising money for good causes, or leading efforts to preserve the environment.

Sponsored by , the Contribution to the Community Award recognises companies that have shown a concerted commitment to improving the lives of those in their community. Such companies were a great help during the pandemic, and their work will be just as important beyond it - which makes it a real pleasure to celebrate those who have shown they care.
