Leicester projects up for new building recognition at ProCon Awards 2024

Our fifth shortlist reveal showcases medium-to-large non-residential property projects named as finalists at this year's ceremony

A trio of projects in Leicester are the finalists in the Medium to Large Non-Residential Scheme of the Year in the 2024 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards.

Research, healthcare and leisure are the themes of those in this category which is sponsored by Procure Partnerships Framework and Compliance Chain and is one of six in this year's 21st ProCon Leicestershire Awards.

Dock 3-5, Space City, Leicester, submitted by Brackley Property Developments and Leicester City Council

Dock 3, 4 and 5 were built on the Space City campus which is designed to be a hub for technology and knowledge-based industries. Dock 3 and 4 provide office space while Dock 5 is for light industrial uses.

The new offices will provide space for circa 50 businesses, with the light industrial units providing workspace across a terrace of nine buildings.

Space City's latest additions are part of Leicester City Council's successful securing of funding from the Government's Levelling Up initiatives.

New Modular Ward, Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, submitted by Actiform

A new modular ward was created at Glenfield Hospital to help meet the University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust's requirement for extra capacity.
