Humber Business Week: Highlighted events to add to your calendar from freeports to film horses

Panel events, expert insights and high profile interviews flow through the agenda as 'runners and riders' revealed

Highlights are emerging for Humber Business Week.

Humber Business Week is now less than a fortnight away and companies and organisations contributing to the entrepreneurial feast are highlighting their efforts.

Back after a pandemic pause, emerging trends from the work-life reset will feature, as well as recent regional developments such as the “transformative” freeport status in a programme featuring more than 30 events.

Freeports forms the focus for two stand-out panel events, from the Marketing Humber team and law firm Andrew Jackson and RMS º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, with strong line-ups for both.

opens the week on Monday, June 7, with the £3.5 billion opportunity touted to bring in 7,000 jobs at the heart.

Guest speakers will discuss the impact a freeport will have on the region and the role it will play in supporting the economic recovery including new supply chain opportunities and the creation of high-quality local jobs.

ABP’s head of policy, communications and economic development, Dafydd Williams, will be joined by bid director David Gwynne, Able º£½ÇÊÓÆµ group development director Neil Etherington, Pensana chairman Paul Atherley and KPMG managing director Lewis Atter.

The following day will see Dominic Ward, senior partner and head of international trade at Andrew Jackson, bring forward .

He will chair a panel featuring Adam Couch, chief executive of Cranswick Plc; Simon Bird, ABP’s Humber director; Rowena Clifton, indirect tax partner at RSM º£½ÇÊÓÆµ; Colin Moody, managing director at Neill & Brown Global Logistics; Jo Ackers of Bridlington Independent Shellfishermen’s Cooperative and Andrew Oliver, partner, commercial fisheries at Andrew Jackson.
