Our top local businesses will be celebrated at the LeicestershireLive Business Awards

Bringing together Leicestershire’s business community, the big awards ceremony on Thursday, September 16, live at Maher Centre, will showcase the success stories of the past year.

The Business Entrepreneur of the Year, sponsored by , celebrates the individuals behind some of the most innovative and successful businesses in Leicestershire.

Here are the finalists:

Alex Nash, Alcuris

Having experienced the devastating impact of dementia first-hand, Alex Nash created Alcuris to help people concentrate on being a family. The business designs, develops and manufactures a telecare and telehealth system which offers a digital platform to prolong the independence of elderly and vulnerable people, providing reassurance to their family and friends.

Evie Keough, Boromi

Boromi is a Leicestershire grown, multi-award-winning network of non-profit play libraries. Working in partnership with schools and nurseries across the country, Boromi empowers vulnerable parents to support and nurture their child’s early development through purposeful play and talk together at home. Throughout the pandemic, Evie has supported thousands of households by providing Daily Play ideas and free ‘Boromi Boxes’.
