The finalists of the Gloucestershire Business Awards have been decided.

The awards, which are run by Reach Plc's BusinessLive and sister site , are in their 24th year (with a hiatus in 2020) and competition for 2021 was fierce.

There were 110 entries, with businesses from all sectors - from tech to property to retail to manufacturing - making submissions.

In a year like no other, businesses in the county explained how they are continuing to invest, strengthen and grow, despite incredibly difficult trading conditions.

The judges gathered (in a socially distanced manner, of course) at headline sponsor Randall & Payne’s offices in Shurdington, Gloucestershire, to review the entries and decide the winners.

The judges included:

  • Tim Watkins, managing partner, Randall & Payne

  • Judi Bonham, managing director, WSP Solicitors

  • Dr Polly Pick, director of business engagement and partnerships, University of Gloucestershire

  • Matthew Wasley, company director, Murdock & Wasley Estate Agents

  • Martyn Gill, co-founder and global managing partner, Wembley Partners

  • Chris Pockett, head of communications, Renishaw plc

  • Hannah Baker, South West editor, BusinessLive

  • Tom Gibbon, editor, In Your Area

  • Emma Slee, regional editor for Bristol, Gloucestershire & Somerset, Reach plc

  • Ian Mean, Gloucestershire director, Business West

  • Angela Edwards, director, Circle 2 Success

  • Suzanne Hall-Gibbins, director, Circle 2 Success

  • Greg Godfrey-Williams, º£½ÇÊÓƵ supply general manager, Spirax Sarco

  • Mike Gardiner, chairman, EESI Group Services

Tim Watkins, managing partner of Randall & Payne, said: “It was great to have over 100 entries across the categories and the judges appreciated the time and effort put in by all.

“I would like to congratulate all the finalists for getting to this stage but also all who entered for how they have responded to the changing nature of business life over these past sixteen months.”
