Two golf clubs are competing alongside a church annexe for the Small Non-residential Scheme of the Year title in the 2025 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards.
The clubhouses in Birstall and Lutterworth and the church annexe in Quorn are the finalists in this category which is sponsored by Merali Beedle and is one of nine in this year's 22nd ProCon Leicestershire Awards.

Birstall Golf Club, Birstall, submitted by SKM Design
Birstall Golf Club was transformed from a dated and underperforming facility into a vibrant, energy-efficient and inclusive destination.
A footprint reduction enabled a significant upgrade to the practice green and created an expansive ground-level terrace.
Two new balconies and three large dormers invite both golfers and non-golfers to enjoy the surrounding landscape from the new first floor bar and dining area.
Inefficient gas systems were replaced with renewable technologies including solar panels, battery storage and multi-functional heat pumps for year-round climate control.

Lutterworth Golf Club, Lutterworth, submitted by Tim Adams Architects
After fire destroyed the 117-year-old clubhouse at Lutterworth Golf Club, a new clubhouse was built in a project that also included new greenkeepers' facilities, a pro shop and training areas.
The overall aim was to create a space for not just golf club members but a key community hub to be used by all, in a development that was forward-thinking and environmentally conscious.
By designing a space that is modern, welcoming and efficient, the club aimed to enhance the golfing experience while providing flexible spaces for meetings, events and training.
Quorn Church Annexe and Community Cafe, Quorn, submitted by Mayway Construction
A new annex was constructed for the grade II-listed Quorn Baptist Church, coupled with internal refurbishments to create a new café, modern office space and upgraded facilities.

The project was designed to be a sensitive, thoughtful design using high-quality construction to enhance a cherished community building while preserving its heritage value.
The new annex was carefully designed to respect the historical significance of the site while introducing contemporary, light-filled, multi-purpose spaces that meet the current and future needs of the church and its wider community.
