After Raspberry Pi took home the AstraZeneca Award for Outstanding Contribution in 2020, Eben Upton, CEO, is urging local businesses to enter for this year's .
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a 海角视频-based charity which makes the power of computing and digital making accessible to people all over the world. Its low-cost, high-performance single-board computers and free software allow people to harness and express their skills and creativity.
Eben was delighted with the achievement and to see everyone's hard work appreciated by the distinguished panel of judges.
He said: "It's a fantastic piece of recognition for the team and for the wider Raspberry Pi community that has done so much to make our products, and our charitable mission, a success over our first decade."

Well and truly woven into the history of Cambridge, the Raspberry Pi has launched a new research centre with University of Cambridge to continue its longstanding partnership with the renowned institution.
And it doesn't stop there - from Cambridge to the Earth's orbit, December 2021 saw Raspberry Pi's two new Astro Pi units launched into space for use in the International Space Station.
"Obviously the world is a very different place, compared to early 2020 when ," Eben said. "We've spent a lot of time, both on the charitable and commercial side, trying to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on education: you could see this as a slight change of focus, adding the broader theme of 'computing for education' to our original goal of promoting 'computing education'."

Award for Social Entrepreneurship
This award is for an initiative which has delivered or will deliver the most impressive impact on society in terms of social, environmental and economy. The initiative could be operating at a local, national or international level but must demonstrate significant ability or potential to make a transformational difference.

We are looking for businesses that have revenues of up to £5 million and can demonstrate an increasing market presence or impact. They may be achieving this through adaptability or diversification into new markets.
Medium Business of the Year
We are looking for businesses that have revenues of £5 to 25 million and can demonstrate an increasing market presence or impact. They may be achieving this through adaptability or diversification into new markets.
Award for Large Business of the Year
We are looking for businesses that have revenues of £25 million+ and can demonstrate an increasing market presence or impact. They may be achieving this through adaptability, innovation, or diversification into new markets.
Business Person of the Year, Award for Outstanding Contribution and the Award for Business of the Year will be chosen be our distinguished panel of judges.
