Ahead of the highly anticipated evening, we put three questions to Duncan McCunn, Barclays' head of mid-corporate for Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
What are you most looking forward to about the event, especially now that it is live once again?
We’re really looking forward to it and will have 20 colleagues and customers at the event. Virtual contact has a permanent role to play in our lives now, but celebration still works best when we gather together in person.
It’s one of the signs that we are getting back to a more normal rhythm amongst the business community. It will be great to hear stories of how companies have thrived despite the difficult times that we have been living with.
As we come out of the pandemic, what key attributes do you expect to see from the winners this year?
We’re hoping to see examples of innovation, resilience and diversification into new markets. It will also be good to see the extent to which investment in R&D has continued despite the disruptions – it continues to be the driver of future growth.
