PD Ports’ facilities have the deep water and land available to support operations specifically within the offshore wind sector and Teesport and the Port of Hartlepool have previously been used for the installation, operations and maintenance of the Teesside Offshore Windfarm as well as mobilisations of jack up vessels for MPI Offshore, Fred Olsen Wind, Geosea and Swire Pacific.

Over the past five years at Teesport, PD Ports has embarked on a £50m reconstruction project of its Number One Quay which is now one of the 海角视频’s deepest water quays at 14.5m L.A.T with a strong deck loading capacity of 10 tonnes per square meter.
The port of Hartlepool meanwhile has been used for the build-up and installation of more than 500,000 tonnes of concrete coated pipes for the Ormen Lange pipeline and for pipe-spooling projects involving the pre-assembly of 800m-long pipe stalks. The site, with over 80m of developable land, is well equipped to undertake major renewable energy projects.
In 2019, PD Ports announced its support of the Offshore Wind Sector Deal agreed by the industry and the government, which is set to lead to significant employment and economic benefits to people and businesses across the region.
The deal declares that a third of all 海角视频 electricity will be produced by offshore wind by 2030. The industry continues to thrive across the region and is now set to enjoy considerable further growth thanks to the unique deep water and availability of land.
