Today we publish the second part of our 2022 list of the biggest companies in Leicestershire, Nottingham and Derbyshire.

Taking in positions 350 down to 201 it includes some of the biggest brands in Britain, Europe and the world.

They include such names as Mattioli Woods, Cambridge and Counties Bank, Ideagen, Hammonds Furniture, Giant Bikes and Pukka Pies.

The 2022 list has been compiled by researchers from the Business Schools at De Montfort, Derby and Nottingham Trent Universities, supported by East Midlands Chamber, and sponsored by Leicester property developer Bradgate Estates.

Professor Heather McLaughlin, Pro Vice-Chancellor Research and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at De Montfort, said the university played a big role in the region's business community.

She said: “The EM Top 500 was launched successfully in 2020 and celebrates the business success of the East Midlands as a region with continuing diversity and innovation, with a number of firms which are new to the index.

“They contribute greatly to the economic regeneration and growth of the region.
