Later this month the Wales Fast Growth 50 will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff. With a thousand people attending this special event, it promises to be one of the biggest celebrations of Welsh entrepreneurship and innovation for many years.
As one does on these occasions, I have had the opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved since the search for the very first Fast Growth 50 list was launched back in 1998 with the support of the Western Mail.

For the 720 firms that have appeared on the lists for the last quarter of the century, the Fast Growth 50 has provided them with a platform for increased visibility and credibility.
According to many of the entrepreneurs who I have spoken to about their inclusion on the lists, this enhanced recognition often leads to new opportunities, including access to a wider customer base, potential investors, and strategic partnerships. For a number of companies, making it onto the list is a turning point and has opened doors that were previously out of reach.
