A mining firm which is looking to revive production of the rare metal tungsten and tin in Devon has announced the appointments of three non-executive directors.

Guy Edwards, Adrian Bougourd, and Kevin Ross, will join Tungsten West as non-executive directors with immediate effect.

The AIM-listed company last month announced its intention to make a further 25% reduction in staff costs as it looks to secure between £5m and £6.95m. Tungsten West is redeveloping the Hemerdon mine site near Plymouth, estimated to be the second-largest global reserve of tungsten, which is used in the production of light bulb filaments and cutting tools.

In the firm's previous announcement on August 16 bosses put forward their intentions to appoint the three non-executive directors.
