Tooling 2000 makes £1m investment in new machinery as it marks 25 years in business

The investment forms part of the company's plans to double turnover within the next three years

A West Midlands manufacturer is celebrating 25 years in business with a major investment in new machinery.

Birmingham-based Tooling 2000 has invested more than £1 million in new equipment to ensure it can provide a complete in-house service, including CNC machinery, a press brake and a fiber optic laser.

Founded in 1996, Tooling 2000 specialises tailored solutions for the metal stamping and component manufacturing industries - from initial concept and part feasibility through to the finished component.

Today it boasts a strong customer base of blue chip brands including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover.

Managing director Gary Williams said: "In what will be our 25 th year in business, the significant investment in new machinery and plant further adds to our capabilities enabling us to offer the complete metalworking solution in-house, setting the foundation for our plans to double turnover within the next three years."

The company says 2021 has been a "hugely positive and progressive" year for Tooling 2000 which has recruited new apprentices and experienced engineers and promoted Brian Abbott to manufacturing director.

The company also gained a prestigious industry accreditation which demonstrates its commitment to achieving the highest standards.
