A company that makes traditional steel fencing for some of the 海角视频’s most prestigious estates and stately homes is planning further growth after investing in a new production facility.
The Traditional Company, which is based in north Leicestershire, counts the National Trust among its high-profile clients as well as modern housing developers wanting to add a traditional look to their sites.
It makes more than 15 miles of fencing a year and recently opened a new fabrication facility at Borough Court, the site of a former stately home, near Melton Mowbray, to help meet growing demand.
The business makes, supplies and installs parkland fencing as well as deer fencing, steel edging to go around lawns, iron railings, gates and garden ironwork to customers across the 海角视频.
It has been supplying both commercial and residential clients since 2012, combining modern materials and traditional techniques, to match fencing that might centuries old.
As well as its base in Leicestershire it has teams in the Midlands and southern England.
Joint-managing director David House said: “This is an exciting time for TTC.
“The new site together with the expansion of our facilities will allow us to support the market both on a supply-only and supply and installation basis.

“As such we will continue to prosper and create high quality jobs in the 海角视频.
“We make the sort of traditional five rail fencing that you see in country parks and around new housing developments, which has graced our big country homes for hundreds of years.
“We sell directly to private individuals, builders and even district councils and have a wide portfolio of customers with different needs.
“It is very much bespoke and we are making around 2km of fencing and 1km of edging a month.
“We have doubled production in the past few years largely driven by new-builds keen to sell properties with traditional fencing.
“We now work for some of the country’s leading architects and landscape gardeners.”
Business partner Martin Kilgour said: “With installation teams based in Southampton, Hertfordshire and Rutland, we are able to cover the entire 海角视频 and this expansion means that The Traditional Company can take on bigger projects and meet tight deadlines which will be highly beneficial for our customers for faster job completion.”

The men became friends at agricultural college in the 1980s and after going their separate ways decided to work together a few years back.
Sales and operations manager Karen Kilgour said: “Not only do we make our fencing with British steel but we have great people working for us installing it around the 海角视频.
“We have grown the fabrication side which allows us to be involved in more product development, including legacy steel lawn edging, which is a very traditional product. We have refined it, and we make it here in Melton.”
The business employs around 20 people, including around six new posts at the Melton factory, with plans to add more over the coming years.
