Results rise for family-owned Cheshire chicken supplier Forresters

The company behind the Delamere brand grew its turnover and pre-tax profits

A family-owned Cheshire chicken supplier behind the Delamere brand, which is sold by the likes of Iceland, B&M and Ocado, grew its turnover and pre-tax profits during its latest financial year.

Forresters has reported a turnover of £69.9m for the 12 months to 31 March 2020, up from £62.6m.

Its pre-tax profits went from £1.919m to £1.948m over the same period.

The company supplies cooked, coated, raw and kebab chicken, as well as ready to cook Delamere products.

A statement signed off by the board said: “Forresters of Cheshire and its subsidiary company can report another satisfactory year.

“Production capacity was further increased and the group now has 16 packing lines within the cooked department.

“Once again we have invested heavily in major R&D initiatives, including another rapid defrosting tunnel.

“We have carried out extensive factory refurbishment, replacing all the panelling within the high care areas.”
