A North Wales company used by º£½ÇÊÓƵ Government to promote the Brexit transition for exporters now says it feels "cut off by the knees" as it faces a bureaucratic and logistics nightmare.

Dr Zigs makes toys that create giant-sized eco and ethical soap bubbles at its factory based in Bangor and exports across the EU and the world.

It was very proactive in securing º£½ÇÊÓƵ Government help with the transition - setting up VAT numbers in different EU countries and a distribution site in France.

Despite all this effort the firm is still facing huge hurdles exporting into the EU - with one major order taking five months.

This month it was told logistics firm Kuehne + Nagel Group would no longer take pallet deliveries from the º£½ÇÊÓƵ to France because of the Brexit hold-ups.

Chief executive Paola Dyboski-Bryant said they have always been passionate about being a Welsh firm and employs 12 staff in Bangor, including five on the Kickstarter programme

But she has warned that production and assembly for the EU and other global markets may have to move to within the European Union - although says the º£½ÇÊÓƵ market would continue to be supplied from Bangor.
