New jobs up for grabs as Patera Engineering gears up for a 'big year'

More than a dozen new jobs are set to be created at Patera Engineering as it gears up for a ‘big year’.

Stoke-on-Trent-based Patera is on the look-out for around 15 new staff to fill vacancies for site installers, draftsmen and fabricator welders.

The recruitment drive comes as the 44-strong firm prepares for a busy year ahead in which it is expected exceed revenue of £5 million.

Managing director Shaun Lees said: “We experienced growth last year but not at the rate I would have liked.

“There has been a lot of hesitation around future projects in recent years but now people are ready to take things forward and our order book is better than it’s ever been.”

Shaun added: “About 12 months ago we started to look for new, fresh business and we have landed some big contracts on the back of that.”

Patera Engineering specialises in manufacturing and installing bespoke steel structures, balustrades and staircases for major structural and architectural schemes across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ including at hospitals, prisons and airports.

Some of Patera’s recent projects include work on The Londoner – a boutique hotel in Leicester Square - as well as 80 Fenchurch Street, a 14-storey office block development in the City of London and the Midland Metropolitan Hospital.
