New images released of Triumph's new Trident which goes on sale in the spring

Historic bike builder has been working on the design for the past four years, and is now in the fine tuning stage

New images have been released showing the latest model to come out of the Triumph research and development centre in Leicestershire.

Photographs of the new Triumph Trident show the model in its final stage of testing, and were taken in and around the Triumph headquarters in Hinckley.

The bike will be in dealers next spring at a price the manufacturer said “represents great value”, with a “full reveal” to follow in the coming weeks.

The new pictures come a few weeks after Triumph unveiled a prototype of the bike at the London Design Museum.

The business said it has been working on the design for the past four years, and it was now in the fine tuning stage.

Triumph – which announced 240 º£½ÇÊÓƵ job losses in June due to the impact of the global lockdown – said work on bike had been led by the team at its design facility in Leicestershire.

All of its bikes are designed and tested in Hinckley, although even before Covid-19 Triumph had announced plans to make Thailand its main centre of manufacturing.

Hinckley remains its global base though, making its prototype and bespoke models and becoming its centre of research and development.
