New home for Dunlop Systems and Components

Manufacturer acquires new home on Prologis Park to aid expansion plans

Manufacturer Dunlop Systems and Components has moved into a new purpose-built base.

The company, which designs and manufactures advanced electronic control systems and air suspension components for the automotive industry, has taken a 60,000 sq ft warehouse on Prologis Park in Coventry.

The firm was formed in 2007 as a management buy-out of the Dunlop Coventry suspension division factory.

Finance director Rob Mansell said around 60 per cent of the company's business was through exporting and the relocation would open up new opportunities.

"Dunlop is synonymous with Coventry and securing a multi-purpose home in the city is vital for the future of the company," he said.

"The new facility will be extremely efficient to manage and we're confident it will support future growth of the company and lead to new jobs being created for the city and the wider region."

Accountancy firm Chantrey Vellacott has worked with the company to formulate an expansion plan which included securing funding to make the move from Holbrook Lane.

Paul Fenner, partner in its Birmingham office, said Dunlop Systems and Components was in a strong position to build on its success when the relocation was completed.
