New CEO and chairman at household goods manufacturer McBride

"Ludwig de Mot's commercial and operational expertise will be highly complementary to our team and he brings a wealth of international experience in manufacturing and selling in many different geographies"

A new chief executive and chairman have been appointed to the board of Manchester-based household goods manufacturer McBride.

The McBride board announced last week (October 4) the appointment of former ArcelorMittal president - and current non-executive director of VPK Packaging Group - Ludwig de Mot to the role of chief executive, who will join on November 1.

John Coleman, current McBride chairman, said the manufacturer is “delighted” to welcome Mr de Mot.

He said: “His commercial and operational expertise will be highly complementary to our team and he brings a wealth of international experience in manufacturing and selling in many different geographies.

“The board very much looks forward to working with him as it continues to execute its strategy and create value for shareholders.”

Current interim chief executive Chris Smith will resume his role as chief financial officer.

The board also announced today (October 7) the appointment of Jeffrey Nodland, who joined the board as a non-executive director in June 2019, as chairman.

The appointment of Mr Nodland comes after current McBride chair John Coleman decided not to seek re-election at the annual general meeting taking place on 22 October 2019.
