Grimsby’s Pattesons Glass is providing the bespoke bottles for BrewDog’s new spirits range.

The craft beer giant has turned to the South Humberside Industrial Estate firm to source its new line-up, in what is a multi-million pound deal.

Lonewolf Gin, Abstrakt Vodka and Duo Rum have been launched by BrewDog Distilling Co. And having been invited to tender for the work with the firm well established in the food and drinks market, initial designs and mock-ups sent up to Aberdeenshire to show what was possible impressed. Pattesons then worked with Manchester-based United Creatives and South Wales’ Launch Design to take the trio of intricately designed vessels to market, with seven-figure volumes into production in China.

David Mann, managing director, said: “To be able to deliver a brief for a business like BrewDog is something we’re extremely proud of. The team have worked hard to deliver three stunning bespoke bottles for the launch of BrewDog’s new spirit lines.

“Patteson’s has always worked with leading food and drink producers across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and in Europe, but it’s always nice to see the hard work pay off and be trusted time and time again by leading brands to deliver the perfect glass packaging solution.”

Pattesons will hold stock in Grimsby and deliver directly to the Scottish base of BrewDog for bottling, as it oversees shipping having sourced the manufacturer.

Sam Graves, marketing manager, described it as “very, very valuable” for the business, and a major step into the spirits sector. “It is really going to push us on into that market,” he said. “We’ve been known as a food jar producer, but spirits is a big opportunity for us, just like beer was when we first started in that market.”
