Manufacturing group Hill & Smith acquires Staffordshire firm for £12m

Company has bought Parking Facilities which specialises in vehicle systems such as barriers and rising kerbs

Solihull manufacturing group Hill & Smith has acquired a Staffordshire firm for £12.4 million.

Listed Hill & Smith, which designs, manufactures and supplies infrastructure products and galvanizing services to global markets, has bought Parking Facilities.

Based in Tamworth, Parking Facilities specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of a range of parking and access control products including cantilever, bi-fold and swing gates, barriers, bollards and rising kerbs.

The £10m-turnover company also offers a bespoke service from design to manufacture, supplying custom-built products to match existing surroundings.

Hill & Smith's chief executive Derek Muir said: "Parking Facilities has a wide range of high-quality products that complement our existing hostile vehicle mitigation and related security product offering, enabling us to provide comprehensive perimeter security solutions to customers in both º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and international markets."

Alongside its West Midlands base, Hill & Smith operates from sites in France, the US, Sweden, Norway, India and Australia.
