A Leicester tissue manufacturer has appointed a new company to supply its products to º£½ÇÊÓƵ supermarkets and high street stores.

Leicester Tissue Company (LTC) has signed a sole supply deal with Coventry-based IPP, which is one Europe’s leading poolers of sustainable wooden pallets.

The deal will see IPP deliver more than 170,000 pallets a year to Co-op, Poundland, Poundstretcher, Wilko and Aldi.

Based in Thurmaston, Leicester Tissue Company supplies to more than 27 countries.

It is run by Amin Tejani and his family and specialises in paper making and converting paper reels into a variety of tissue-based products.

The firm also invests in technology to keep energy and power consumption to a minimum, with an ongoing commitment to making all products from sustainable sources.

This aligns with IPP’s own green schemes, including the reduction of more than one million miles of empty running on the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s roads.

Phil Storer, º£½ÇÊÓƵ director for IPP, said: “We’ve previously worked with LTC as an overflow producer for another IPP customer and we’re delighted to welcome them on board on a sole supply deal.
