Leak and flood systems specialist moves to Barnsley to bolster expansion plans

Andel Ltd is aiming for significant growth in the next three years as it builds on higher environmental risk

The opening of Andel Ltd’s new offices on Dodworth Business Park, Barnsley.

A manufacturing firm specialising in early leak detection and flood damage protection has moved to Barnsley as part of its strategic growth plans.

Andel Ltd has based itself at Dodworth Business Park, having moved from Marsden in West Yorkshire.

The larger modern premises are the setting to invest in expansion and increase turnover from £5 million to £8 million over the next three years.

A total of 11 new staff have joined to make it a 60-strong team, with two more in the pipeline.

Andel’s operations director, Willem Lewis, said: “Our new offices in Barnsley have already had an incredibly positive impact on the business. The new building has given us room to grow and the fact that it stands in a great gateway location in Dodworth, right next to junction 37 of the M1, has made it so much easier to send out our products, reach our customers and receive visitors.

“We’ve also found local talent to recruit to our new jobs and bring our workforce up to 60. We are now in a very good position to achieve our target of 25 per cent year-on-year growth for the next three years.”

Founded in West Yorkshire in 1992, Andel designs and delivers products and services for safe and efficient fuel and oil storage, maintenance and interceptor waste, and drainage.
