Jaguar Land Rover has revealed yet another jobs boost with 250 positions going on offer at a new high tech Midland headquarters.

The announcement came as the carmaker formally opened its new £20 million Special Operations technical centre in Coventry.

The jobs are being created for engineers and designers at the 215,000 sq ft facility where Jaguars, Range Rovers, and Land Rovers will be personalised for wealthy customers who want unique cars.

John Edwards, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations managing director, said: “Today we employ just over 1,000 designers, engineers and technicians across four divisions.

“The team is energetic, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial. They are the principal reason that we have made a strong start in business since 2014.

“Now we have new facilities, technologies, products and services in place to exceed the demands of our most discerning customers all over the world.

“I look forward to strengthening our team and delivering on this fantastic opportunity.”

The company has acquired a neighbouring facility on the business park which will become the new headquarters for Jaguar Land Rover Classic.
