One of the 海角视频’s biggest brick makers has invested £250,000 in a new restaurant at its national HQ.
Ibstock Brick has refurbished the on-site cafe at its headquarters and distribution facility in north west Leicestershire.
Called Food Factory, the new restaurant was completed a couple of months ago and was just been officially.
The inside was designed by Ashby based fit-out specialists Blueprint Interiors, while CHR Food Service Equipment, in Preston, designed and installed the kitchen.
It is being run by Atherstone-based Olive Catering Services.
Earlier this month parent company Ibstock announced that revenues had topped £203 million in the first half of 2019, compared to £192 million a year earlier.
John Lovatt, marketing manager of Ibstock Brick, said: “Our previous on-site staff canteen facilities lacked appeal and needed a complete face lift.
“We are delighted with Food Factory and feedback from staff has been really amazing.

“People are definitely using the space as we intended and are now opting to get away from their desks or the production line to enjoy a nutritious meal and find it a great place to meet and get to know colleagues and suppliers better.”
The café had originally been designed as a ‘works canteen’, serving basic breakfasts and lunches.
Despite its downfalls, it was well located right in the centre of the site.
The new Food Factory is brighter, with booths and bespoke wall art, and includes a Costa Coffee outlet.
To make life easier for staff there are charging sockets and wall-mounted TVs to keep everyone up-top-date with the latest news and sport.
Blueprint Interiors creative and commercial director Chloe Sproston said: “Having worked with Ibstock Brick for over 14 years, our ongoing discussions highlighted that their existing on site café needed a complete fit out and refurbishment.
“The main aim was to create a new image that would encourage more people to use the space regardless of their shift pattern.”
