15 stunning pictures of Jaguar's new electric vehicle as Type 00 is launched in Miami
Carmaker says new design concept 'embodies the essence of Exuberant Modernism'

Jaguar’s rebrand hit the headlines around the world – now it is showing off the first images of its “fearless” Type 00 electric vehicle that it hopes will lead it into an all-electric future.
Last month the British luxury carmaker, part of the JLR group, announced a rebrand to mark its push toward becoming an all-electric manufacturer. New marketing slogans included “delete ordinary”, “live vivid” and “copy nothing”. The company also introduced a new “leaper” cat design.
Jaguar unveiled its new “design vision concept” at Miami Art Week. The Type 00 prototype electric vehicle – pronounced Type Zero Zero – has been designed with a theme of “Exuberant Modernism”.
The vehicle, which JLR says is “a concept with bold forms and exuberant proportions to inspire future Jaguars”, includes a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, a glassless rear tailgate and panoramic roof, with 23-inch alloy wheels.
Jaguar’s first production EV – an electric four-door GT – will be revealed in late 2025 and will be built in the Ƶ. JLR is based in the West Midlands and has a large plant in Halewood, Merseyside.
Constantino Segui Gilabert, chief exterior designer at Jaguar, said: “Jaguar is no place for ordinary. When you see a new Jaguar for the first time, it must have a sense of awe, of never having been seen before. Type 00 commands attention, like all the best Jaguars of the past. It is a dramatic presence, channelling a unique spirit of British creativity and originality. It celebrates art and embodies the essence of Exuberant Modernism.”
The name references Jaguar’s electric ambitions, with the first zero referencing zero tailpipe emissions and the second showing it is car zero in Jaguar’s new era.
Jaguar says it chose to bring two different Type 00 variants to Miami in tribute to the 1961 launch of the E-Type at the Geneva Motor Show.
