A second moulding line is being added by a Grimsby specialist engineering company, with a £250,000 investment creating 14 new jobs.

Fowler & Holden is to increase production capacity by 80 per cent as it adds to the existing footprint and repurposes other areas.

The Railway Street firm will also add a sand recycling machine to support the casting process, substantially reducing waste and the need for quarrying.

A new plant room is also planned.

Backing from HSBC has been secured by the company, bought by TGM Partners last year, 12 months on from its centenary.

It is the second major capital investment, with money ploughed in shortly after the buy-out at the 20,000 sq ft site, where more than 25 people are currently employed.

Tim Brooksbank, director, said it was now recruiting, with a further round anticipated in the autumn as a second shift is added.
