Communications technology trailblazer Filtronic has reported huge growth in revenue and earnings as its raises expectations yet again.
In another upgrade for the County Durham manufacturer, it told shareholders on the London Stock Exchange that, subject to audit, full year 2025 revenue is expected to have jumped 120% to £56.3m, from £25.4m. Meanwhile Ebitda is expected to have more than trebled from £4.9m to £16.6m.
It comes as the radio frequency equipment specialist says momentum - thanks to its stellar partnership with rocket giant SpaceX - continued into the second half of the year. Bosses told investors on the London Stock exchange that recruitment has helped the firm talk to more parts of the European space market, resulting in contract wins with Viasat and the European Space Agency.

They pointed to contracts to supply Airbus for its system on the OneWeb constellation and with defence contractor Leonardo. Rising European defence spending combined with radio frequency engineering shortages were said to be creating a strong position for the Sedgefield business.
Ahead of full year results to be announced next month, Filtronic highlighted a healthy order book and said its technology was "proceeding at pace" with promising results on chipset developments for new frequency bands. It is hoped these technologies will be ready in the first part of 2026.
Earlier this month, AIM-listed Filtronic launched its Prometheus V-band amplifier at an industry conference in the US. The product is said to be a major technological step forward for long-range, mission critical satellite communications for ground station uplinks - giving higher bandwidth, capacity and data rates than mmWave frequency bands used in the wider market.

We look forward to FY2026 with further optimism as we continue to invest in the business and capitalise on the expanding market opportunity in front of us.
"The focus will be on broadening the customer base, completing key technology developments and relocating our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Sedgefield to a new facility at the same science park, doubling our operational footprint by doing so."
Filtronic's pipeline now includes geostationary and medium Earth orbit work in addition to its established low Earth orbit contracts which have driven much of the recent growth. Last month the firm signed its largest deal to date with SpaceX, worth about $32.5m (£24.0m) to supply its E-band Cerus 32 Solid State Power Amplifier kit, which can boost low-power radio frequency signals for 5G and advanced wireless communications systems delivered through satellites.
